As exciting as that is, and  Alex and Walter’s wild ride off the edge of a waterfall of course, today, January 18, is significant as there is a internet wide protest against the US’s pending legislation SOPA and PIPA. Happily it seems the first is largely dead, but all who enjoy the current state of the web need to stay informed about moves like this. So here we are, first page of 2012. And the guys are in just as much trouble as always. If we had a resolution, it would be to make sure 2012 was at least this dangerous for Alex and Walter all the time.

Happy Holidays! Hope everybody had a great time, and maybe even got some comics among their gifts. So far no actual comics, though I did get my son a Tiny Titans collection. But comic based games did appear, and there’s always after Christmas shopping.

While we are celebrating, I would like to take a brief detour to talk about something more serious. For the past couple years, comic creators have been contributing art to a charitable piece that gets done every year at this time. Comic Creators for Freedom take all proceeds from donations to donate between to organizations that fight against human trafficking. I’m pleased to say that Jeff and I have contributed to this year’s wallpaper, a giant snowball fight between all sorts of female comic characters. Celeste will be in there hurling snowballs with her Romalian hurling stick. It’s always a fun piece, and a very worthy cause, so we hope you go have a look and consider donating.

After that, well there’s New Years, and like last year, we’ll have a little treat for you all. Alex and Walter are going to be celebrating the change of year with one of Jeff and my favourite traditions. So watch for that as we count down to 2012. Big year coming for us. We’ll be finishing not only the Indy story, but also publishing it’s trade collection and finally collecting the second half of the original mini-comics run.

So slip into your new jammies, grab your favourite bevy and let’s all welcome 2012.

So I was feeling all good cause I had this weeks page all ready to go Monday night. Then Tuesday night I realised I hadn’t done the sound effects. And then when I re-opened the page I discovered that while I had done the small web version of the page, I had missed saving thew final version of the full sized page, so I lost the colouring I had done Monday night. Poop! So Jeff got to stare at the back of my head and talk AT me over CHAT while I re-did all the stuff I had already done. And y’know, it’s never quite as good when you have to try and redo something. I’m going to forever look at this page and know it’s not as good as when I first did it.

sigh.
